Land
use
An
innovative mix of actively forested timber and recreational
use will occur at Dyer Mountain. The timber harvest will continue
as a primary land use on approximately 3,000 acres of mountainside
lands above residential areas, with the exception of some
acres designated as ski trails. An objective is to demonstrate
that a properly managed forest can be healthy, growing, and
alive with wildlife, cohabitate with a nearby community, have
low fire danger, and be a constant source of timber and recreation.

| Walker
Cove on Mountain Meadows Reservoir at Dyer Mountain
will be a center of community life. Structures will
blend into the forest and people-powered canoes, rowboats
and kayaks will provide popular recreational activity.

Technology
The
Dyer Mountain community will be totally wired with forward-thinking
technologies that maximize time, improve quality of life,
allow remote offices, and reduce environmental impact. On-site
innovative transportation lifts, parking lots shuttle buses,
and dial-a-ride programs will complement bike, foot and
riding paths.
